St. Clare opened its campaign with dominant wins over Alberei (114-81) and Hyperwash (129-72) while TIP pummeled McDavid-La Salle Araneta (106-81) and Hyperwash (92-71).
Coach Stevenson Tiu will rely on Chris Dumapig, Mohammad Pare and Jhapz Bautista in St. Clare’s bid even as TIP mentor Potit de Vera hopes to get big contributions from Papa Ndiaye and twins Bryan and Ivan Santos.
Marinerong Pilipino launches its campaign against Hazchem at 3:30 p.m. with ex-pros Dan Sara, Eloy Poligrates and Mark Yee, Jhonard Clarito, Dhon Reverente and Jay-R Alabanza leading the charge.
Hazchem is eyeing its second win after routing Nailtalk-St. Dominic Savio, 98-78, last week.
Alberei faces newcomer Black Mamba Energy Drink in the opener set at 1:30 p.m.
