NBA bets you need to make: Wednesday 11/27

PERFECT AT HOME The Celtics are a perfect 6-0 at home this season and are 8-point favorites at home as they host a Brooklyn Nets team who have won four straight contests, despite being without Kyrie Irving .

The Celtics are tied for the top spot in the Atlantic Division and rank 15th in the NBA in points per game averaging 110.2 per contest. Boston's Marcus Smart is averaging 32.4 minutes a game and 5.1 assists on the season. With his finger injury potentially causing some issues, expect him to be more of a facilitator in the Celtics' offense and Bet Over his assists total of 4.5.

IN A POSITION TO THRIVE The Charlotte Hornets hope to end their five game losing streak (1-4 ATS) as the they welcome the Detroit Pistons to town . Detroit has lost eight straight road contests (0-7-1 ATS), and five straight when playing in Charlotte (1-4 ATS).

The Hornets have played much better on their home court this season averaging 110.6 points per game, but could have their hands full with Blake Griffin in this one. Expect big numbers out of Griffin going up against a Hornets defense surrendering 25.1 points, and 12.1 rebounds per game to opposing power forwards. Although Griffin is off to a slow start this season, he should have an impact today and bet Over his points, rebounds, assists total of 30.5.

FINDING OFFENSE IN OTHER PLACES The Houston Rockets are 8-point home favorites as they host the Miami Heat . Miami will be without Derrick Jones Jr. , Dion Waiters , and most notably Jimmy Butler who will sit out due to illness. For Houston, Clint Capela is listed as questionable and is important news to monitor as he is logging huge numbers in the rebounding department.

Defensively, the Rockets are coming off a game where they gave up 78 first half points per game to the Mavericks. Offensively, both squads rank in the top 10 in first half points per game with Miami averaging 58.2, while Houston averages 58. Even though Miami will be shorthanded, bet Over the first half total of 116.5.

BUILDING OFF PRIOR SUCCESS The highest game total of the night takes place in Milwaukee as the Bucks host the Atlanta Hawks , where the total is set at 239.5.

The Hawks have been one of the worst teams defending opposing point guards allowing 25.8 points on 49.5 percent shooting, 6.5 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game and Eric Bledsoe is licking his chops for this matchup.

In their prior meeting earlier this season, Bledsoe got to the charity stripe eleven times and contributed with 28 points, shooting close to 50 percent from the field and beyond the arc. In what projects to be a high scoring game, bet Over his points, rebounds, assists total of 29.5.

MAKING THE MOST OF RETURNING HOME The Oklahoma City Thunder have struggled on the road winning only once in seven tries (4-3 ATS) averaging only 99.9 points per game on the road on 43.2 percent shooting. And historically, they have not had much success at Moda Center posting a 2-11 SU record there. This time around OKC is a 3-point underdog .

Offensively, the Blazers are playing well averaging 115.1 points per game. But defensively, they are also giving up 115.1 points a game, but have held their last two opponents to 102 points. With the Thunder struggling to score on the road, and Portland finally returning home, bet the Blazers to cover as 3-point favorites.
