Metro League: Valenzuela zaps Manila »

Valenzuela waylaid host Manila, 77-52, on Thursday in the Metro League Reinforced Conference held at the San Andres Sports Complex on Thursday night.

The Workhorses outscored the Stars, 23-9, in the first quarter although Manila slightly recovered in the second quarter. Valenzuela would eventually continue to roll in the second half with a 43-25 run.

Ford Ruaya made 14 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal for Valenzuela, which moved up to 4-3.

Jeric Diego put up 10 points, 10 rebounds, and one steal of his own.

Ronnie Matias went 5-for-5 from the field for 13 points with six rebounds and one assist for Manila, which slipped to 3-5.
