The Miami Dolphins reinstated former Florida State linebacker Lawrence Timmons on Tuesday after Timmons served a one-game suspension.
Timmons was indefinitely suspended last week for going AWOL on the eve of the team’s season debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. According to reports, Timmons did not show up for bed checks and the team was unable to reach him.
The Dolphins filed a missing persons report and Timmons was later found at a California airport, preparing to board a flight for Pennsylvania.
After spending his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Timmons signed a two-year, $12 million deal with the Dolphins. Prior to the suspension, Timmons had started 101 consecutive NFL games.
Timmons is expected to play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
