Florida State considers rescheduling canceled game

With hopes of an Atlantic Coast Conference championship appearance becoming dim after an 0-2 start, Florida State is considering rescheduling its missed game with Louisiana-Monroe, according to a report from ESPN’s David M. Hale .

The first weekend in December is being discuss for the game originally scheduled for Sept. 9 but canceled due to the threat of Hurricane Irma. It would have been Florida State’s home opener.

“We have been in contact with ULM, and we continue to explore options," Florida State’s associate athletic director Rob Wilson told Hale. "Currently that would be our only possible date if we were to make up the game this year."

Hale reports that one reason to reschedule the game would be to give the Seminoles a chance to become bowl eligible. The first weekend in December is the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte.
