PBA legends Jeffrey Cariaso and Rodney Santos predict that the PBA finals series between San Miguel Beermen and TNT KaTropa will stretch to game 7.

When asked which team has the upper hand in the finals during an interview with ABS-CBN Sports, UP Fighting Maroons Assistant Coach Rodney Santos picked the Beermen.

“San Miguel pa rin because of their success. Talk N Text, di [mo rin] babalewalain dahil sa kanilang import.” (Still San Miguel because of their success. Although you cannot sleep on Talk N Text because of their import) he said.

The Jet chose TNT because for him, Terrence Jones is ‘unmatched’.

“No one can match up with their import. I don’t think anyone can. There is not a good match up for him. He could do a lot of things.”

The former Alaska guard added that Jones could ‘easily’ get his teammates open. He is also good in distributing, and knows when to attack and to score when needed.

However, for Santos, Marcio’s absence will not really bother San Miguel because they also have an import who can shoot and guards who he described as ‘phenomenal.’

“Chris Ross even gets better. Pang championship talaga ‘yong laro n’ya,” (His game is meant for championships) added The Slasher.

Cariaso is expecting a game 7 because both teams are good in defense.

“[TNT’s] defense has stepped up big time.” Cariaso said.

“More than [San Miguel’s] offense is their team defense and individual defense that make them solid.” Santos ended.
