Federal leaders speak of Vic terror attack

Melbourne's fatal terror attack has featured during the resumption of federal parliament, with political leaders paying tribute to victim Sisto Malaspina and the bravery of bystanders.

The cafe owner was killed and two other men were stabbed when Hassan Khalif Shire Ali launched a knife attack in Bourke Street on November 9.

"The terrorist thought his actions would divide us and frighten us. Instead, he met the will and resolve of Melbourne and Melburnians," Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.
