Baddies. (@baddiesexplicit) November 26, 2019 "Such gross disrespect" for books by Selena has made Desi Twitter furious. In Indian culture, books (knowledge) are worshipped and that Selena stood on them is something that netizens couldn't accept at all.

"Why is she stepping on the books? Not acceptable," a user schooled the singer while several others slammed Selena for being "insensitive". Some users also said that she will be "cursed" by Goddess Saraswati for stepping on books.

"Please don't disrespect books, knowledge is sacred, we are supposed to respect it," a post on Twitter read.

You are insulting our composite culture by such advertisements.
