Hamas did not even exist between 1967-87.

The incident which immediately preceded the first intifada was a stabbing incident followed by a traffic accident. The Gazans had the day before stabbed to death a Jewish person while shopping in Gaza. An Israeli lorry had an accident the next day which killed 4 Gazans. False rumours spread in Gaza of intentional revenge killing which incited mass rioting. An Arab 17 year old having thrown a Molotov Cocktail at a soldier was shot dead. More violent riots and false rumors engulfed the Palestinian areas and the first violent intifada was under way.

Palestinian violence ran wild with Palestinians killing many more Palestinians (1000) than they did Israelis. Palestinian children manned the front lines and were encouraged to become martyrs for the cause. The PLO sent in death squads to kill Palestinians they did not like. Neighbor killed neighbor in disputes. Women were executed on the street for immodest behavior. Palestinians hacked, slashed, stabbed and shot other Palestinians to death during their so called intifada.
