“In any conflict area it is important that journalists’ safety be guaranteed,” spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in response to a reporter’s question about the attack.

Israeli warplanes hit the building Saturday housing Anadolu Agency’s office in the Gaza Strip with at least five missiles following warning shots.

No casualties were reported, but the building was razed to the ground.
